Elon Musk Vs Apple Vs OpenAI: Elon Musk’s artificial intelligence company, xAI, has filed a 61-page lawsuit in a Texas federal court against Apple and OpenAI. The complaint alleges that the two tech giants are working to create a monopoly in both the smartphone and generative AI chatbot markets. Elon Musk is seeking billions of dollars in damages and has also requested a jury trial. This case sets the stage for a high-stakes courtroom battle between the world’s richest person and one of the most valuable companies. xAI has argued that Apple’s decision to integrate OpenAI into the iPhone’s operating system stifles competition and innovation in the AI industry, ultimately harming consumers by limiting their choices. Furthermore, the billionaire founder of xAI Holdings, which encompasses the Grok AI team and the X social network, asserts that Apple makes it extremely difficult for any app other than OpenAI’s ChatGPT to secure a top spot on the App Store charts—a highly sought-after global showcase for developers. Add Zee News as a Preferred Source Elon Musk’s Lawsuit: Integration Of ChatGPT Into iPhones Apple has exclusively integrated OpenAI’s ChatGPT into its iPhone operating system, a move that xAI claims gives ChatGPT an unfair edge. According to xAI, the deal restricts visibility for rival chatbots like its own Grok on the Apple App Store. By making ChatGPT the only generative AI chatbot built directly into its devices, Apple reduces the incentive for users to download alternatives. With control over nearly 65% of the global smartphone market, Apple holds significant power in shaping app distribution. This lawsuit marks his first legal battle against Apple, though not against OpenAI. In 2024, the xAI founder had already filed a case against OpenAI, alleging it abandoned its non-profit mission for a for-profit model, with the trial scheduled for March 2026.
AI To Unlock $500 Billion Opportunity For India’s Tech Services: Report | Technology News
Bengaluru: Artificial Intelligence will play a decisive role in shaping the future of India’s technology services industry as AI — particularly the rise of Agentic AI –will unlock $300–500 billion in new opportunities and mark the beginning of a new era where humans and intelligent AI agents work together as hybrid teams, a new report said on Tuesday. The data compiled by Nasscom in collaboration with McKinsey & Company notes that between 2020 and 2025, the tech services sector witnessed deep shifts — from pandemic-driven digital acceleration to the disruptive rise of AI and changing geopolitics. As enterprises now recalibrate their technology spending, AI is emerging as a critical differentiator, with companies expected to direct larger portions of their budgets toward AI-driven productivity and innovation. Add Zee News as a Preferred Source While India’s tech services industry is expected to retain its growth edge, revenue expansion will be muted in the near term, with stronger recovery projected between 2027 and 2030. Legacy service lines may shrink, but demand for data and AI is likely to grow at 12–15 per cent over the next five years. The report, titled “Future of Technology Services: Leading with AI” also highlights that global capability centres (GCCs) in India will gain greater importance, evolving into global innovation hubs for enterprises. Rajesh Nambiar, President of Nasscom, said the real future of technology services will be defined by the convergence of human expertise and AI-driven automation. “Over the next three to five years, we will see hybrid teams reshape delivery models, productivity, and pricing frameworks. India is uniquely positioned to lead this shift, but it will require a major push on reskilling and reinventing service models,” he said. Noshir Kaka, Senior Partner at McKinsey & Company, added that Agentic AI opens a “once-in-a-generation” growth opportunity but will also require the industry to reset its operating model, invest in R&D, and build talent pools for new skills. The report concludes that for India to cement its position as the global hub of technology services in the AI era, the industry must defend its core services while rapidly pivoting to AI-driven innovation, new delivery models, and bold partnerships.

70-80 Per Cent Of India’s Mobile Data Consumed Indoors: TRAI Chief | Technology News
New Delhi: Nearly 70 to 80 per cent of India’s mobile data traffic is consumed indoors, yet significant coverage gaps remain in many premises, TRAI Chairperson Anil Kumar Lahoti said on Monday. With the adoption of advanced technologies like 5G, indoor connectivity requires careful planning of Digital Connectivity Infrastructure (DCI), including fibre entry, ducting, cable trays, rooftop access, Wi-Fi readiness, and resilience, as part of core infrastructure planning—similar to electricity and water supply—he said, addressing an online interactive session on the Framework for Rating of Properties on Digital Connectivity, jointly organised with The Forum of Indian Regulators (FoIR). TRAI Chairperson further informed participants that TRAI had notified the Regulations, 2024, introducing a voluntary star-rating system for properties and had released the Manual for Assessment of Digital Connectivity on August 13, 2025, to guide evaluations. He added that TRAI has already registered eight Digital Connectivity Rating Agencies (DCRAs) to operationalise this framework, with more applications under review. The session was attended by FoIR members along with senior representatives from the Insolvency and Bankruptcy Board of India (IBBI), Central Electricity Regulatory Commission (CERC), Petroleum and Natural Gas Regulatory Board (PNGRB), Competition Commission of India (CCI), State Electricity Regulatory Commissions (SERCs), and Airports Economic Regulatory Authority of India (AERA).
