Airtel Down In India: Just days after a major outage, Airtel is once again facing network disruptions in several parts of the country, including Delhi, Kolkata, Bengaluru and other cities. ‘Airtel Down’ has quickly become one of the top trends on X (formerly Twitter), with hundreds of users reporting connectivity issues. Many Airtel users across the country complained that they were unable to make calls or use mobile internet.

According to outage tracking website Downdetector, users began experiencing issues around 11:00 AM, with complaints quickly surging past 7,000 reports. According to the website, 52% of users reported no signal, 31% faced mobile internet problems, and 17% experienced a complete blackout.

Airtel Calls Outage a Temporary Disruption

Airtel coined the outage a ‘temporary disruption’ and assured users it would be resolved within an hour. The company stated, ‘We apologize for the inconvenience. The issue you’re facing appears to be due to a temporary connectivity disruption and is expected to be resolved within one hour. Once that time has passed, please restart your mobile phone to restore services. Thank you,’ read the Airtel Cares message.”

To recall, several mobile users across India f a major disruption on August 18, as Airtel services went down, followed by smaller glitches on Jio and Vodafone-Idea. According to Downdetector, outage reports for Airtel spiked to over 3,600 around 4:30 PM, compared to the usual baseline of under 15. By late evening, the situation improved, with complaints dropping to fewer than 150 by 10:30 PM.
