Over the course of a five-and-a-half hour-long discussions with China’s top diplomat Wang Yi in Beijing, Antony Blinken relayed US concerns over China backing Russia, marking the latest high-level engagement between the two nations, which have been working to improve relations after last year’s tensions.
“At the conclusion of my visit on Friday, I restated our significant apprehension regarding the PRC’s contribution of components fueling Russia’s aggressive warfare against Ukraine,” Blinken stated at a press briefing, using China’s official title, the People’s Republic of China.
